Reports Writer:
Will produce Information
Intelligence reports (IIR) in accordance with DoD
HUMINT Management System, DIAM 58-12, Chapter 7, and
the Joint Military Attaché School IIR Cookbook.
Report Writers will also be responsible for official
correspondence, internal and external letters and
memorandums, background papers, fact sheets, SPOT
reports, Intelligence Biographical Reports and other
documents as directed. In addition, Report Writers
will:
•
Perform basic data and open-source searches
•
Upload to various databases, including: HARMONY,
DHDS, WISE, CIDNE and others
•
Publish official message traffic
•
Conduct intelligence analysis in the production of
IIRs on a wide array of topics
Qualifications:
• Must
possess or have previously possessed a Field Report
Number and a proven history of IIR production; OR;
have a minimum of 2 years of experience writing
relevant intelligence products
• Must
achieve a minimum ILR writing test score of 4 in
English (see Appendix Four)
•
Familiar with the IIR format as described in the
resources above
• Have
extensive experience with; word processing, typing,
editing, use of office machines, using databases,
conducting internet research, Microsoft Office Suite
applications
• Able
to rapidly summarize large amounts of data and
provide a gist, summary or synopsis of that material
in a limited amount of time
• Have
a basic understanding of the IC and how each
deployed location supports it
• Have
a basic understanding of a diverse range of topics,
including: military operations, Order of Battle,
counter-terrorism, insurgency, Middle Easter
politics, Middle Eastern or Central Asian religious
dynamics, Coalition Forces and others
•
Proficient in IC standard classification markings
for intelligence reporting
Highly Desired Skills:
•
Foreign language capability, primarily Arabic or
Pashto
• Prior
Military Intelligence or IC employment involving IIR
production
•
Experience with Collection Management functions and
activities
The
contract provides strategic Document and Media
Exploitation (DOMEX) support to the Intelligence
Community (IC), Law Enforcement Community and
Department of Defense (DoD) in CONUS and OCONUS
locations.
Mandatory Requirements (All):
Able and willing to live and work in austere
conditions. Have the physical and mental capacity to
function in a high operational tempo and in crisis
situations. Able to communicate effectively
in English, orally and in writing. Experience using
Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint). Experience in word processing, typing,
editing, using office machines. Experience in
data-base processes. Knowledge of U.S.
Intelligence Community. Must be eligible for a full
Secret clearance, or higher, in JPAS in order to be
considered for nomination.
