WorldWide Language Resources (WWLR) full-time personnel are entitled to a variety of benefits in addition to health, dental, and short/long term disability.  Our benefits package is listed below. 

Medical Insurance

WWLR full-time employees (those that work at least 25 hours per week) are eligible to participate in our organization’s medical insurance program beginning the first day of the month following thirty (30) days.  WWLR will pay 100% of the cost for employee only coverage.  The employee will be responsible for the cost to add dependents (spouse and/or children).  This insurance is a PPO plan and is provided by United Healthcare.

Dental Insurance

WWLR full-time employees (those that work at least 25 hours per week) are eligible to participate in our organization’s dental insurance program beginning the first day of the month following thirty (30) days of continuous employment.  WWLR will pay 100% of the cost for employee only coverage.  The employee will be responsible for the cost to add dependents (spouse and/or children).  This insurance is provided by Principal Dental.

Short & Long-term Disability

 

WWLR offers short & long-term disability insurance to full-time employees (those that work at least 25 hours per week) from date of hire.  Short-term disability provides a benefit of 60% of weekly earnings up to a maximum weekly benefit of $500 per week.  Employees are eligible after the 1st day of an accident and the 8th day of sickness.  The duration of this benefit is 13 weeks.  This benefit is employee paid and is based on salary.  Long-term disability provides a benefit of 60% of monthly earnings up to a maximum monthly benefit of $5000 and begins after 13 weeks.  This benefit is employer paid.  These insurances are provided by UNEM Provident.

   
Life & AD&D Insurance
  WWLR offers Life Insurance and AD&D (Accidental Death and Dismemberment) Insurance at no cost to the employee.  This benefit is available to full-time employees (those that work at least 25 hours per week).  The Life benefit is 1 times an employee’s salary to a maximum benefit of $50,000.  AD&D provides the same benefit of 1 times an employee’s salary to a maximum benefit of $50,000.  These insurances are provided by UNEM Provident.
   
Health Reimbursement
 

WWLR provides an additional $650.00 annually for any medical issues, such as co-pays and prescriptions that are expenses which are not covered by some form of insurance.  This reimbursement is in addition to the health benefits already provided by WWLR.

   

Northern New England “AAA Plus”

  WWLR employees are eligible for a company-paid AAA Plus membership.
   

Tuition Reimbursement

 

WWLR recognizes the value of professional development and personal growth for employees.  Therefore, we encourage our employees to stay current and continuously upgrade their knowledge, skills and abilities through accredited continuing education and/or degree programs.  Employees continuously employed for a minimum of six months are eligible to participate.  Tuition reimbursement is applicable to courses of study directly connected with the current work being performed while in the employ of WWLR. WWLR reimburses a maximum of $4,500 per calendar year and the amount of reimbursement is dependent on the grade received in the course.

  WWLR recognizes the importance of vacation and the opportunity it presents for all employees to take breaks from work. Vacation is accrued on a monthly basis starting with the first month of employment and is calculated on a calendar year. The number of vacation days allotted varies according to each employee’s seniority and length of service.
   

401(k) Retirement Savings Plan

 

WWLR employees are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan from date of hire.   This plan gives employees the opportunity to contribute money before taxes to save for retirement.   After a year of service employees are then eligible for matching contributions from WWLR.  WWLR will match 50 cents on the dollar to a maximum of $1000 in a calendar year.  There are 12 investment funds to choose from.
